Meet the ATC2024 Innovation Lab Finalists

Get ready for one of the most highly anticipated sessions of every ATC Conference – the Innovation Lab lets the Australian Talent Community see and explore the emerging and game-changing Talent Technology set to impact how you hire.

Co-hosted by ATC and Hays, this year’s finalists will pitch live on stage at ATC2024 at Fed Square where the audience will determine the winner.

Hays is delighted to be sponsoring the ATC Innovation Lab competition again in 2024. We are committed to supporting the best new locally-developed talent technology products, and using them to help support our numerous RPO, MSP and agency clients throughout the region.

– Richard Barnett, ANZ Solutions Director, Hays

Let’s meet the four finalists who’ll go head-to-head in the pitch-off in 2024:

People Match

Jade Donegan, Co-Founder
How would you best describe your product/innovation?

PEOPLE MATCH is an evidence-based business tool to help assess the health of an organisation, including the efficacy of talent acquisition, talent management, retention and employee experience strategies. It maps, measures, and evaluates alignment between an organisation and its people, across 11 key productivity factors. Once the tool has identified areas of misalignment, the organisation can access solutions to move its business into alignment and improve the way things work.  This can enable organisations to align culture and strategy with their people, improve productivity, and ensure a robust business operating model that focuses on the right HR investment.

Where did the idea for your product/innovation come from?

Seeing HR expertise being under-utilised and focusing on the wrong things, or engagement survey data and solutions being ‘shots in the dark’, it became a challenge to design a HR tool which can help diagnose where the problems in business operations actually are – all with the aim of improving productivity, efficiencies and overall culture.

Scotty AI

Stanislaw Wasowicz, VP Growth & Partnerships
How would you best describe your product/innovation?

Scotty AI is a cognitive process automation platform. It can automate the entire hiring process and employee lifecycle. In simple terms, the best way to describe “her” is like a playing field that allows an army of AI agents to operate in sync towards objectives our customers set for them! Our tagline is Let Scotty do the Talking.

What frustration/problem does it solve?

Limited capacity, Manual screening, Language barriers, High response time, Lack of personalization, Tedious data entry, Manual outreach, High workload, High recruitment costs, Decentralized data, Legacy or clunky tech stacks, Countless different point solutions, Manual workforce management, Inefficient scheduling, Biased hiring practices.
Unlike human beings, Scotty can handle 500,000 conversions in 140 languages.

JobTetris

Brendan Tremble, CEO
How would you best describe your product/innovation?

JobTetris is a world first platform that serves as a single source of truth for all users engaged in the recruitment process—job seekers, recruitment agencies, and employers. The platform offers a streamlined, transparent, and integrated solution for tracking the best candidates and managing communications between all stakeholders involved in the recruitment lifecycle.

What frustration / problem does it solve?

Typically recruitment systems are single entity systems, meaning that the system is owned by one entity and external users are given login credentials to access it. In the example of a HRIS or ATS with a candidate login, this requires the user to remember dozens of URLs, usernames and passwords. That’s not so easy when you’re applying for 50+ jobs.

JobTetris is a multi-entity ecosystem, every job seeker and organisation have their own account and data can be shared securely.

MyIncentive

Mark Armstrong, Founder/CEO
How would you best describe your product/innovation?

MyIncentive is an employee loyalty platform. Just like a frequent flyer program, employees earn points when they achieve goals or for team activities or even working in the office.

Points can be collected and redeemed in our Rewards Marketplace but it also helps with non-salary employee expenses. These include morning coffees, team activities, company events, social responsibility and professional development. Managing these expenses is time-consuming for the HR team due to the planning, coordination, and execution required.

Where did the idea for your product/innovation come from?

From a problem I faced in a past role. One of my challenges was to incentivise people from diverse backgrounds. A one size fits all approach like shouting a morning coffee or drinks at the bar fails to recognise that not everyone drinks coffee or alcohol. The aim of MyIncentive is to build a platform that seamlessly integrates short and long term incentives plans that consider employee diversity.
