Dylan Alcott

, Paralympian & former Australian of the Year

Dylan was born with a tumour wrapped around his spinal cord and, at a young age, struggled to come to terms with life as a paraplegic. After that difficult period, Dylan found a lifeline through sport that changed his life forever.

Throughout his esteemed career, Dylan has won 4 Paralympic gold medals, was awarded 2016 GQ Sportsman of the Year and the 2016 the Newcombe Medal. He was honoured to have received a medal of the Order of Australia (OA) in 2009 at the age of 18 and has since been awarded the highest medal of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2022.

He retired from tennis in early 2022 after winning a Golden Slam, followed shortly by the receiving the prestigious award of Australian of The Year. Off the court, Dylan is a motivational speaker, media personality, actor, and keen philanthropist.

He co-founded the Dylan Alcott Foundation in 2017 alongside his family. As the foundation grows, the family roots are a nice reminder to why we started and a determining and deciding pillar when needed.

He is a tireless advocate for disability awareness and inspires organisations and individuals of all abilities around the world to become the best version of themselves.
