Aubrey will unpack the assumptions about what the “human in the loop” is, and how it can become a rubber stamp when we optimise for the wrong things. You’ll learn the reality and limits of explainability, and how to defend the decisions you make to your leaders, your team, and candidates. While many organisations can find technical expertise to implement AI systems and tools, this session focuses on the part that matters most: ensuring humans retain the understanding, authority, and capability to exercise meaningful judgement.
