Jim D’Amico currently leads the global Talent Acquisition practice for Celanese, a chemical manufacturing and innovation company based in Irving, TX, and is the Board President of The Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals. Additionally Jim serves as an advisor to Career.Place a breakthrough diversity recruiting platform.
Jim was trained by the Second City Conservatory in improvisational comedy, and writing, and has toured in the US as a stand up comedian. He has written two short films that were entered into the Tribeca Film Festival. These experiences and his skills as a raconteur have allowed him to build best in class Talent Acquisition Functions for organisations of all sizes globally.
Jim was recognised by Glassdoor as one of the Top 20 Branded HR professionals, and has been featured in a series of articles highlighting Exceptional TA Leaders by Dr. John Sullivan.
He is frequent global speaker and author and is very active in the TA community as a mentor.
