  Pete Thompson

Pete has worked in the technology industry for over thirteen years. He started out his career with Telecom before a three year stint with the Police, upholding the law in South Auckland.

Pete’s big OE took him to London where he spent 6 years working for betfair.com, the world’s largest betting exchange website. More than 800 technology staff developed and supported the site, which was engineered to handle one million requests per second. He has held a number of roles including Fraud Manager and Technology Compliance Manager.

On Pete’s return to New Zealand, he contracted to betfair.com as a technology consultant, working closely with the Australian gambling regulatory authorities. Prior to coming to RWA, Pete worked in Enterprise Software Sales for Gen-I as a Software Licensing Strategist.

As Sales Director at RWA, Pete leads a team of six Recruitment Specialists and five Talent Acquisition Specialists. He is directly accountable for the service delivery of the team, always striving to ensure RWA over-deliver on Client expectations.

Pete’s a husband, father and complete Android geek. When his not acting as a weekend taxi service he can be found glued to the screen in his custom built development lab. To learn more about Pete and RWA go here.
