Mark founded childcare software company Xplor in 2016, after realising an opportunity to have a powerful impact on education through improving software services. Xplor grew quickly and TSG acquired the Melbourne-based start-up in late 2019, with Mark joining the TSG Executive team.
Mark’s well-known for his engaging, down to earth leadership, and has had great success uniting and inspiring teams to pursue ambitious goals. Before entering the Education sector, Mark was part of the Australian Army, where he worked as a Forward Observer, and as part of the Australian Psychology Corps.
Mark lives in Melbourne with his family and in his spare time, he buys more books than he can finish, signs up for more online courses than he can complete and fundamentally believes that if you’re not learning new things, you stop doing great and useful things.
Matt Varley helps founders build great businesses. Working as the COO at Wego, MessageMedia, Xplor / TSG over the last 8 years, he has worked on leading high performing teams and building strong operating plans that lead to sustainable growth. Matt’s career also saw him working for Wotif as their Executive General Manager in Asia.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Internet Computing and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
Caitlin has spent her career in recruitment with a background in both agency and internal roles and specialisations including strategic sourcing, operations, and bringing scalable processes to people teams of startups and high growth businesses. Her passion is being able to help founders and leaders successfully reach their company goals by attracting and developing the right people, whilst cultivating a culture that truly reflects the organisation’s vision and values.
She holds a Business Degree from Boston University and is the Founder & Co-Organiser of the Melbourne Recruitment Meetup of over 1400+ members.
Stefan is a talent finder and matchmaker who is passionate about creating memorable candidate experiences and championing the importance of technology and employer brand. Choosing his career in recruitment has allowed him to help companies and individuals directly and see the results of his work first-hand ever since.
He holds a Bachelor of Human Resources Management and has worked in both internal and agency environments in Germany and Australia where he successfully recruited for startup and corporate positions from the entry to executive level. Stefan is also the Co-Organiser of the #MelbRecMeetup – Melbourne’s largest community for talent acquisition and recruitment professionals.
