Better stakeholder conversations – reading between the lines for better communication

Play Video

Our lives are full of meetings, conversations and interactions. This session will provide you with the tools to enhance EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM and help you create the outcomes you desire.

Daniel Siegel M.D. calls this skill “mindsight”. Professor William Ickes calls it “empathic accuracy”. Professor Simon Baron-Cohen of Cambridge University simply calls it “mind reading”.

Truly great Recruiters possess this skill – the ability to read between the lines during face-to-face communications. It is the skill that enables all other interpersonal skills and it allows us to understand what your Hiring Managers and Candidates are really thinking and feeling.  Imagine being able to detect that hidden reservation or objection and then having a formula to overcome it.

In this session, we will apply this to the stakeholder relationship that you most need to develop, you’ll learn:

  • A system for “reading between the lines” like a pro;
  • How to test what we are reading so we don’t incorrectly infer; and
  • A practical methodology for responding to what we “read”, so we can always say the right thing at the right time.
