Chris Hoyt - CareerXroadsSummary:
The Cost of Candidate Resentment vs. Improving Candidate Experience
How companies communicate rejection can have a serious impact on its bottom line, let alone the candidate experience. And while candidates are likely to share positive experiences, a growing number are also willing to share negative experiences with both their inner circle and social networks. Once public, those poor reviews not only influence an organization’s ability to recruit and hire top performing talent, but can cost the company valuable customers and impede sales.
During this session, Elaine Orler, chairman of the organization behind the Candidate Experience Awards and a recruiting industry luminary, will join Chris Hoyt, partner at CareerXroads, to illustrate what causes candidate resentment and motivates individuals to share their negative experiences. Drawing on five years of CandEs data, Orler will detail the impact that one negative experience can have on both consumer-facing and business-to-business organizations and what companies can do to avoid this issue.
Attendees will also learn how they can calculate the estimated costs of candidate resentment for their own organizations as well as it how it relates to the overall candidate experience.
