Miranda Rivers is a NZ based Casting Director specialising in film who has been working in the industry for 17 years. She has worked on a diverse range of films including the Hobbit, Avatar, King Kong and the Oscar winning The Lord of the Rings Trilogy to name a few.
Every film has its own unique set of acting roles to cast and Miranda must adapt her technique to each individual project. Discovering new talent is a thrill that never ceases to inspire her and she is passionate about helping an actor unlock their best performance. Having come from an actors’ background, Miranda has the advantage of knowing how it feels to be in an actors skin which enables her to have a dialogue with actors. She enjoys the challenge of finding the right people to fit the vision for the project and bringing unique creative practitioners together.
